Texas Vet Lab, Inc. provides state of the art diagnostic services at a minimal cost to veterinarians and their clients in order help identify the best possible vaccination program for your stocker/feeder calves.

With a complete diagnostic lab, filled with the latest technology, Texas Vet Lab, Inc. can easily and efficiently help identify any and all cause of Bovine Respiratory Disease including Mycoplasma Bovis and all viral antigens. All samples are requested to be sent via UPS or FedEx Priority Overnight to be delivered Tuesday - Friday (Please do not ship on Friday). Upon arrival a team of diagnosticians prep and culture all samples for the requested tests.

In 2009 the lab processed over 3500 cattle diagnostic samples. The lab utilizes real-time PCR technology to identify viral and bacterial pathogens. With this data, a web-based platform has been initiated that veterinary partners can access daily to view test results which allows for rapid feedback on viral and bacterial identification, as well as, antibiotic sensitivity data on bacterial isolates.  Customers find this complimentary service extremely beneficial when selecting appropriate antibiotic therapy for pen/lot specific bacterial pathogens.
